Slow Mornings

Slow Mornings

These last two years while mostly homebound have taught me to enjoy the little moments. It has been one of the silver linings during these strange times. These moments of being present while drinking a hot cup of tea outside on the porch, picking wildflowers from the yard, savoring each bite of a homemade meal have gotten me through.

As autumn approaches, I am reminded again of this practice of slowing down. These quieter months when the sun doesn’t shine I like to think of as a time for rejuvenation, turning inward, and cultivating ideas for the new seasons ahead. But until autumn arrives I will be enjoying the dwindling days of summer and embracing the slower moments ahead.
